How to use this tool
What it's for. Succession Pressure is a single 1–10 dial for how close the Expundeus is to crisis — the ambient institutional stress your players are operating inside. Logging it after each session gives you a running read of the mood and a history you can point back to.
When to use it
Once per session, usually during your after-session wrap-up (the Session Record can also write this for you automatically). Bump it up when players destabilise the institution, down when they shore it up.
How to fill it in
- Session number / date — which session this reading belongs to.
- Pressure level — drag the slider 1–10. Colour tells the story at a glance: 1–3 stable, 4–6 elevated, 7–9 critical, 10 crisis.
- Institutional mood — a sentence on what the Expundeus feels like right now. This is the line you read back to set tone next session.
- Reason for change — what happened this session to move the needle.
The big number at the top is always your most recent reading. The history table keeps every past entry, colour-coded.
